minutesBanana Bread can be enjoyed for breakfast, dessert or on any occasion. This Banana Nut Bread recipe contains a special ingredient that makes it moist and delicious. My family loves this recipe and it’s the only one I use to make banana bread. It’s easy to make and it is pretty fail safe.
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 eggs
1/4 cup mayonnaise (not miracle whip)
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1-1/2 cups all purpose flour
2 mashed ripe bananas
1/2 cup chopped walnuts, optional
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cream together sugar and butter.
- Next, beat in eggs.
- Mix in mayonnaise and baking soda, separately first, then add to the rest of the ingredients.
- Continue adding remaining ingredients and combine.
- Grease a loaf pan and pour in the batter.
- Bake for about 65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
