Tres Leches Cake

TRES LECHES CAKE

This semi-homemade Tres leches cake recipe is super easy and delicious to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 box white or yellow cake mix

  • 1-13.8 ounce can sweetened condensed milk

  • 2/3 cup whole milk

  • 1-12 ounce can evaporated milk

  • 1 – 8 ounce container whipped topping (cool whip)

  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar (confectioners sugar)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Bake cake following box instructions.
  • Leave cool for 1 hour.
  • In a bowl combine, sweetened condensed milk, whole milk and evaporated milk. 
  • Mix well.  
  • When the cake has cooled, pierce cake with a fork.
  • Pour milk mixture over entire cake.
  • Place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • Topping: In a bowl, combine whipped topping, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. When cake has cooled, top with whipped topping.  
    Chill 30 minutes and serve.

  • It can also be sprinkled with cocoa powder, cinnamon and decorated with fruit.
