Simple, easy, and delicious Swedish Meatball Recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1-1/2 lbs. ground beef

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 2 tablespoons dried minced onion

  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg

  • 1 beaten egg

  • 2/3 cup milk

  • 1/2 cup Italian style bread crumbs

  • 1 can of cream of mushroom or chicken

  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  • In a large bowl combine, ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, minced onion, nutmeg, egg, milk and bread crumbs. Mix well to combine.
  • Take a large spoonful of meat and roll into a good size meatball. Do not make them too small as they will shrink slightly during cooking.
  • Place them on a cookie sheet or platter and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  • In a large skillet or pan, heat about a tablespoon of oil and brown the meatballs.
  • Once they have browned, remove any excess fat.
  • Add the cream of mushroom or chicken soup along with the water. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook for 30 minutes.
  • Ready to serve and enjoy.
