AMAZING CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
After numerous attempts and a fair share of cookie mishaps, I’ve triumphed in creating chocolate chip cookies that I genuinely adore. They are slightly crispy and chewy which is why I love them so much. This is my go to recipe for chocolate chip cookies.
I haven’t met anyone that didn’t like chocolate chip cookies. I am sure they are out there. However, if you love chocolate chip cookies, which I am pretty sure you do . Try this recipe and taste how good they turn out.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup melted butter (salted) ~ if using unsalted, add 1 teaspoon salt
1 egg (beaten)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Directions
- In a bowl combine sugars and butter.
- Next, add the egg and vanilla. Mix thoroughly until they form ribbons—this step is crucial. For a visual demonstration, check out the video below
- Add flour and baking soda.
- Fold ingredients, do not over mix. Your cookies will come out cakey. Unless you like cakey cookies.
- When almost combined, add chocolate chips. Chill dough for 1-2 hours, up to 24 hours. Trust me, it makes a difference.
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Using a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, roll about 1 tablespoon of dough or use a small ice cream scoop.
- Bake 12-15 minutes or until edges start to brown.
